On a busy week day, my younger one walked in and exclaimed, “Mamma,
please can you play with me, now! Just for a little bit please?” I replied with
my head in my emails, “A little later honey!”
Days later, reflecting back at that moment, I penned these words with
the realization that it is all about the conscious choices we make every day.
“Balance” is a collection of haikus that on their way also shaped into a
poem of sorts!
---
With work and home tasks
It’s all work, no play today
No balance I say.
Cooking and school stuff
Days and nights just pile on me
Where’s the time to be?
Go on, take a break
And snatch moments in your day
Be with each other.
Play in the garden
See all the colours around
Sit down and be still.
Smile, go for a walk
Or jump in muddy puddles,
Just giggling away!
Joke, tickle and hug
Spend time, know each other more
Grans, parents, kids too!
Go make it happen
Be present with love and joy
Live with balance more!
Beautifully penned!
