Keep Walking…Straight On!

I simply love walking! Whether it’s walking for hours as a tourist in a new place – discovering the local sights, culture and food; or when it’s a pleasant stroll in the sun or when it’s exercise time.

On many days, walking is my time to reflect, to explore and to get away from the daily routine. It’s my “me-time”! During my walks, I like to observe things around me – the beautiful colours of nature all around, people in all their diversity, myself and my thoughts.

On so many occasions, my walks calm me down and help me focus on things that I might be struggling with. It isn’t always about finding the solution right then, but about staying the course. At times, it’s also about exploring another path! More importantly, it’s about looking back, letting go and moving onward!

To all those seem stuck or lost and want to give up, I hope these words will help you find your way in your own time.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life and the start of a new beginning!

Life’s a mystery box

With sweet, sour, bitter times

Some good and bad roads!

We all face struggles

Want answers now, but won’t find

Only looking back.

Standing where you are

Feel stuck to the same problems

Going in circles

Look back, then let go

To reach your destination

Walk straight, break the loops!

Sometimes you fall down

Dust off all the dirt and pain

Get up and walk on!

Pain and betrayal

Anger and grief only wind

You up in circles

Try out the old ways

If you feel like giving up

Tread an untried path

It’s easier said

For paths crooked and scary

Keep on walking straight!

Through its ups and down

Learn and love this life journey

Walk on till the end!
